Tom Tom Foundation - From Classroom to Boardroom: Careers in Information Technology

Join our Founder and CEO, Liam Bowers, at Tom Tom Foundation’s upcoming virtual event series, From Classroom to Boardroom: Race & Equity in the Workplace (March 30 to April 8). The series is pay-what-you-can and open to the public. It will feature panel conversations with local and national leaders, as well as interactive breakouts and opportunities for networking.

As the county mobilizes to ensure that economic recovery reaches all members of our communities, collaboration is of the utmost importance. The goal of this event series is to highlight cutting-edge, grassroots initiatives to promote economic mobility, encourage diversity at all rungs of the career ladder, and contribute to a more inclusive sense of community in Virginia and across the country. It will provide opportunities for employers, jobseekers, small business owners, civic leaders, nonprofit professionals, educators, and students to connect, collaborate, and learn from one another.

Liam will be a panelist at the Careers in Information Technology session. The panel will explore local trends in Information Technology and provide best practices in career development for both employers and jobseekers. It will feature Charlottesville area employers about ways that jobseekers can advance their careers.
